This October, we’re bringing grassroots rugby clubs together for the first-ever LooseHeadz Club Challenge, a nationwide fundraising challenge with one shared goal: to help change and save lives in rugby. You can read more about it here.
To get you inspired we’ve heard from some of the clubs who have already complete or planned their challenges to give you some inspiration!
First up, we have Boroughmuir Banshees who are running a prize draw, hosting a bake sale, organising a halloween training session, and if that wasn’t enough! Their big challenge is to collectively walk, run or cycle 4,400 miles.
Why 4,400 miles? Every 44 seconds, someone, somewhere, dies by suicide.
Next up Jurassic Pork hosted a BIG FAT PORK QUIZ at Dorchester RFC on Friday 2nd October.
Later this week there is a Gala Dinner hosted by Old Barnardians at Barnard Castle School where LooseHeadz is one of the charities benefiting from the event.
Claverdon Rugby Club joined in the Club Challenge action by donating 20p from every drink sold at their President’s Game to LooseHeadz.
Leighton Buzzard junior team are hosting their very own bake off! We wish we could try the baked goods!
Lastly, Edinburgh University Rugby Club have set up a weekly run club every Thursday to spread awareness of men’s mental health and to raise money for LooseHeadz.
Pledge today and you could be competing for our Club Challenge Awards and Prizes… all for a very good cause! Let’s build Rugby’s mental health team together.
Got something planned? Please let us know by emailing communityteam@looseheadz.co.uk or get in touch if you have any questions!
