The LooseHeadz Awards are back for 2026.

Following a fantastic inaugural event, we’re once again shining a light on the people, clubs and communities who make rugby more than just a game.

Every week across the rugby community there are volunteers, coaches, fundraisers, players, supporters and clubs making a real difference both on and off the pitch. The LooseHeadz Awards exist to celebrate those contributions and ensure they receive the recognition they deserve.

Entries are now officially open.

Whether you’re nominating an individual, a club initiative or a community project, we want to hear the stories that showcase the very best of rugby and the values that bring our community together.

Club of the year (Flagship award)
Awarded to the club who has made real change within their community to tackle the stigma.

Award categories below:

⁠⁠LooseHead of the year “Mental Health Champion”

Awarded to the mental health champion making real change, creating a club where everyone feels safe, supported, and seen.

⁠⁠Heart of the Club (Lifetime award)

For the person who has kept their club alive through thick and thin, the beating heart of the place, no matter the challenge.

Rugbyness Award

Recognising the individual whose leadership and impact has had a positive effect on their club and the wider LooseHeadz community. This award celebrates someone who lives the values of rugbyness through their actions, advocacy and fundraising efforts.

Impact Initiative of the Year

Celebrating the club, team or organisation that has turned an idea into real impact, leading the way through innovation and action to create positive change for players, strengthening club culture, and making a lasting difference in their community. 

Try of the year

Best grassroots try of the year (2025/26 season) to be decided on the night.

If you know someone making a positive impact in rugby, nominate them today. Our entry process is simple and straightforward and only requires a testimonial of the impact made by the individual or club.
